Ready to Build: Skills, Talent and the Future Workforce
Our managing director, Liam Hanlon, was pleased to attend the ‘Ready to Build: Skills, Talent and the Future Workforce’ event on Wednesday 6 May at The City of Liverpool College on Vauxhall Road.
The event, delivered in partnership with the Save Construction Initiative, brought together employers, industry partners and education leaders to discuss the future of skills, apprenticeships and workforce development across the construction and built environment sector.
As part of the event, LSIP chaired a roundtable discussion which provided an excellent opportunity to share insight and experience on the opportunities and challenges currently facing the sector. The conversations around workforce development, training provision and employer needs were particularly valuable, and it was encouraging to hear a range of perspectives from across the industry.
The event also created a strong platform for collaboration and networking with others facing similar workforce and skills challenges, helping shape how future training and skills provision can better reflect the needs of employers.
