Conquering Ben Nevis
The Forshaw Group was delighted to recently support apprentices on INS-PIRE Academy’s Adventure Day, climbing Ben Nevis on 6 June 2026.

The Jurgen Approach
The Forshaw Group’s managing director, Liam Hanlon, was pleased to attend O’Connor’s’ inaugural Fireside Chat, The Jurgen Approach, delivered by Gemma Ellison, Co-Founder and Director of Heart Leadership.
The session provided fascinating insights into the leadership principles and cultural transformation that helped shape Liverpool Football Club under Jürgen Klopp, exploring how businesses can apply similar approaches to strengthen their teams, culture, and performance.

It was fantastic to be amongst so many inspiring SME business leaders from across the Liverpool City Region, sharing experiences and perspectives. Knowsley Education Awards 2026
We were delighted to attend the Knowsley Education Awards 2026 on Tuesday 23 June 2026, celebrating the exceptional talent, ambition and dedication of pupils and schools across the borough.
Representing The Forshaw Group, INS-PIRE Academy and the Knowsley SME business community, managing director, Liam Hanlon, had the privilege of presenting the Highly Commended and Winner awards in the Outstanding Achievement (Secondary) category to Ronni Moon and Alfie Lynch.
Hosted by Dale Milburn, Executive Director of Regeneration and Economic Development, and Chris Price, Head of Education, the evening showcased the remarkable achievements of young people and the vital role that schools, businesses and sponsors play in supporting their success.
‘Over the Edge’ Team Building Abseiling Adventure Day
A huge thank you to the incredible team from ‘State of Mind’ Royal Marines, the organisers of the INS-PIRE Academy ‘Over the Edge’ team building abseiling Adventure Day, held on Friday 19 June 2026 at Frogmouth Quarry, Runcorn, Cheshire.
The event brought together apprentices, mentors, employers and industry leaders for a memorable day of challenge, personal achievement and team development. Participants demonstrated tremendous courage, resilience, and determination as they stepped outside their comfort zones and tackled the quarry face together.
Liam Hanlon commented, “Congratulations and well done to every participant who took part, every mentor who offered encouragement, and the State of Mind Royal Marines team for delivering such a professional, inspiring and impactful experience. The courage shown on the quarry face, the teamwork displayed throughout the day, and the personal achievements celebrated by all involved will undoubtedly leave a lasting legacy.”
Knowsley Better Together Summit
Managing director, Liam Hanlon attended a valuable morning at the Knowsley Better Together Summit at Shakespeare North Playhouse, bringing partners together to explore how we can unlock educational opportunities and improve outcomes for children and young people across Knowsley.
The event highlighted the importance of multi-agency collaboration in addressing some of the key challenges impacting educational achievement and attainment. The discussions reinforced the power of partnership working and the collective responsibility we all share in supporting children, young people and families to achieve their full potential.
Allianz Treasure Hunt
The Forshaw Group had the privilege of attending Allianz’s Treasure Hunt down in Bournemouth on 18th June in support of Barnardo’s. Our representatives Dave Chiocchi, James Hutchison, Ryan Green, and Luke Allan were partnered up with Hayley Yates and Ellie Evans from Allianz. A great time was had by everyone, all in support of a great cause.
Networking, Insight and Building Strong Partnerships at Tranmere Rovers FC
On Thursday 25 June, The Forshaw Group managing director and Tranmere Rovers associate director, Liam Hanlon, was delighted to attend the Tranmere Rovers FC Club 1884 Business Networking event at Prenton Park.
The evening provided an excellent opportunity to meet Darrell Clarke, Tranmere’s new First Team manager, and hear first-hand about his vision, ambitions and plans for the upcoming season. It was an insightful and positive discussion that generated plenty of excitement for the season ahead.
HMP Altcourse Veterans’ Family Day
On Friday 26 June, as part of Armed Forces Week, Liam Hanlon was proud to attend the HMP Altcourse Veterans’ Family Day. It was a fantastic event celebrating the service of our Armed Forces community while supporting veterans and their families during one of the most important stages of their journey.
As a Gold Award holder of the Armed Forces Covenant Employer Recognition Scheme, The Forshaw Group remains committed to supporting those who have served our country. Our continued involvement with the HMP Altcourse Jobs on Release programme reflects our belief that meaningful employment plays a vital role in reducing reoffending, restoring confidence, and helping veterans successfully transition back into society.
