Liam Hanlon, managing director of The Forshaw Group, was pleased to attend the Subsidence Forum Annual General Meeting (AGM) as a member of both the Executive Committee and the Training Group.
The AGM provided an excellent opportunity for members to review the significant progress being made across the organisation and to discuss a number of exciting initiatives that will further strengthen the value of membership.
Among the key topics discussed were the continued development of the Subsidence Forum Training Day, enhancements to the new membership portal, ongoing website improvements and a range of new member benefits designed to support collaboration, professional development and the sharing of industry best practice.

It was a pleasure to welcome Jan Cox, Defence Relationship Manager for Merseyside & the Isle of Man, to the Knowsley Chamber Of Commerce on Monday 13 July for the presentation of an Armed Forces Covenant (Bronze) award.

Liverpool City Region Local Skills Improvement Plan (LSIP)
The Forshaw Group enjoyed attending the launch of the Liverpool City Region Local Skills Improvement Plan (LSIP), alongside Bruntwood’s Future of Skills and Talent initiative.
The LSIP represents an important step towards better aligning the skills system with the needs of employers across the region. Developed through extensive employer engagement, it highlights the recruitment challenges and skills gaps facing businesses, while identifying opportunities to strengthen the talent pipeline.
Speaking of this initiative, Liam Hanlon, said, “As an employer, I know how important it is that businesses have access to the right skills and talent to grow and succeed. A strong, responsive skills system is essential to the future success of businesses across the Liverpool City Region.
“The LSIP provides a valuable opportunity for employers to have a direct say in shaping the skills and talent pipeline, ensuring that training and education are better aligned with the real needs of industry.”
The next stage is turning the plan into action through Industry Skills Partnerships, an employer-led LSIP Board, and continued collaboration between businesses, providers, local partners and sector representatives. This will provide a positive step towards building a stronger, more connected and future-ready workforce across the Liverpool City Region.
