Last week, our managing director Liam Hanlon was proud to present “From Skills Gap to Social Value: A Decade of INS-PIRE and the Next 10 Years of Collaborative Impact” at the BDMA (British Damage Management Association) Conference 2026.
The session explored how the INS-PIRE Academy programme has evolved over the last ten years – from addressing critical skills shortages to creating meaningful social value across our industry through partnership, opportunity, and long-term investment in people.
Collaboration in a Changing World
The conference theme, ‘Collaboration in a Changing World’, highlighted the importance of organisations working together to tackle industry challenges, build resilience and create sustainable outcomes for communities and businesses alike.
BDMA Award for Economic, Social and Governance Excellence (ESG)
Adding to an already memorable event, The Forshaw Group and INS-PIRE Academy were honoured to receive the BDMA Award for Economic, Social and Governance Excellence (ESG), recognising the positive impact that collaborative working, skills development, and community engagement continue to deliver across the sector.
Liam Hanlon, managing director of The Forshaw Group, said:
“INS-PIRE was created to help address a growing skills challenge, but over the last decade it has become much more than that. Through collaboration with our partners, we’ve demonstrated that investing in people creates lasting value for individuals, businesses, and communities. Winning this ESG award is recognition of everyone who has contributed to that journey, and we’re excited about the opportunities the next ten years will bring.”
A huge thank you to the BDMA, our industry partners, clients, education providers and every individual who has supported INS-PIRE’s journey so far. Together, we’re proving that collaboration can create lasting impact.
