The Forshaw Group was pleased to recently welcome 14 students from All Saints Catholic High School for an Apprentice Open Day, to inspire the next generation through the Knowsley Schools Apprenticeship Partnership.
Held on Friday 24 April 2026, this is the ninth year the event has taken place, building on The Forshaw Group’s legacy of success with the school’s past students.
Designed to encourage these young people to learn more about the opportunities available within the sector and community, through developing essential trade skills, and helping address the looming skill shortage in the industry, the open day event was an inspiring success.
The attendees, who had expressed an interest in pursuing apprenticeships in the construction sector, took part in several presentations and demonstrations around the skills and services on offer at The Forshaw Group. These opportunities range across joinery, decorating, plastering, loss adjusting, restoration and building engineering.
The students also enjoyed a tour of The Forshaw Group’s state-of-the-art Restoration Training Centre, to see how various restoration crises can be dealt with.
A huge thank you to our team members Ashleigh O’Callaghan, Graeme English, and Dean Chandler for their help and support in making the day such a success. Speaking of this successful day, managing director at The Forshaw Group, Liam Hanlon, commented, “The open day was a chance for these students to learn about careers in construction, and hear more about our services in property restoration and loss adjusting.
“We are very proud to support the brilliant work being done by all involved, for the future of our industry and wider community. The success of this partnership demonstrates the importance of local businesses working in collaboration with local schools, to secure the employment opportunities for the skills required for the future. We look forward to hosting the 10th Apprentice Open Day with All Saints Catholic High School next year.”
