The Forshaw Group was pleased to attend the ninth annual Maxi Roy ‘Noble Art’ Memorial Boxing Tournament, held earlier this month at the beautiful Leasowe Castle and hosted by Wallasey Amateur Boxing Club.
The event was a huge success, with eleven ‘on the edge of your seat’ fights taking place. The Maxi Roy ‘Noble Art’ Best Boxer of the evening went to Sam Stott. The award was presented to him by Paul Trickett of Bathgate Business Finance. The Forshaw Group sponsored the event, alongside several local businesses and community groups.
The Chairman of Wallasey Amateur Boxing Club, our managing director, Liam Hanlon, said about the night,
“This is a very worthwhile and fulfilling event in bringing together several local businesses, charities, and community organisations in support of the valuable work being done by the club in engaging with the young people in our community through the fantastic sport of amateur boxing. A big thank you to all the sponsors and the support for the event.”
It was a fabulous evening, with entertainment, dancing and a fundraising raffle. Liverpool Live radio presenter, Roy Basnett, provided the music to get everybody onto their feet and dancing. An enjoyable and worthwhile time was had by all who attended.
