Our very own Zac Guinan has taken part in three Olympic triathlons, raising an impressive £1,000 for the charity, Early Essentials. Zac braved the water at West Kirby Marine Lake and swam for 1.5 km, cycled 40 km and completed a 10 km run. Astonishingly, he did all this not once, not twice, but three times over three days.
Zac, from Bebington Wirral, is a sub-contractor for us here at The Forshaw Group and is also part of the Tri-4-Life team, which is a Wirral-based team of friends, who, for the last 20 years, have raised money for charities – local, regional, and national – by taking on challenges around the world.
Early Essentials is a Manchester-based charity started by two mums with young children. The charity works with health and social care professionals to provide practical help for new mothers who cannot afford the essentials needed to look after their new-borns. Thanks to kind donations, they provide beautiful Moses baskets filled with all the items needed at the beginning of a baby’s life.
Our managing director Liam Hanlon, said about Zac’s achievement,
“To take part in one Olympic triathlon is impressive but three is just outstanding! Zac has had our full support and we always encourage fundraising campaigns amongst our team. Raising a thousand pounds will make a huge difference to Early Essentials and the new mothers they support.”
