After four years of preparation, including multiple endurance challenges such as taking the plunge to swim the Great Glen Lochs of Scotland in 2020, a month-long mountain climb preparation in Nepal last October, and the final climbing event last month of Moel Siabod, our managing director, Liam Hanlon, has departed with the Tri-4-Life team to climb and summit Mount Everest.
This exciting expedition will retrace the famous steps of George Mallory in a centenary celebration of the famous and wildly ambitious 1922 British Mount Everest expedition, which was the first of its kind with the express aim of ascending Mount Everest. It will also mark the 20th anniversary of Tri-4-Life.
If you wish to donate to the effort’s chosen charities, which include Community Action Nepal, the local Wirral University Teaching Hospital NHS (WUTH) and its Tiny Stars Appeal, and the Countess of Chester Hospital charities, please visit the JustGiving page here.
The team’s progress of their ascent can also be tracked here.
The Forshaw Group wishes Liam and the Tri-4-Life team the best of luck, hopefully a triumphant ascension to the summit, and a safe return at the beginning of June.
