Speaking at The Knowsley Construction Forum
On Tuesday 28 September, our managing director, Liam Hanlon, attended The Knowsley Construction Forum Autumn networking event. It was held by the Knowsley Chamber at the Piazza, at the footsteps of the new Shakespeare North Playhouse Theatre in Prescot. It was a fantastic opportunity for representatives of the region’s construction industry to get together and learn more about tender opportunities, supply chains, contract wins, and make new business contacts.
A night celebrating the best of the construction industry
The awards celebrated the achievements of those who inspire, lead and enable the very best delivery of projects and develop buildings that have a positive impact on those who use them.
The CEO of the CIOB, Caroline Gumble, was due to visit the INS-Pire Academy in Knowsley, which The Forshaw Group supports. Unfortunately, this had to be cancelled due to COVID. Liam was keen to reorganise this visit, and the President of the CIOB Mike Foy will also be visiting now that restrictions have been lifted.
Liam commented: “I also spoke to Mike Foy about the lack of representation from all the SMEs that support our amazing industry at the awards. He agreed that this diversity and inclusion is an important function of the Institute and would consider a category for this next year.”
