The next charitable event on The Forshaw Group’s agenda will see its managing director, Liam Hanlon, making a splash by organising and taking part in his 18th annual Across Mersey Swim on 19 September 2021.
Founded by Liam Hanlon and his family, Tri-4-Life raises funds for good causes through organising and undertaking charitable events.
Starting adjacent to Liverpool Watersports Centre at Queens Dock, the swim will see up to 20 PODS, comprised of 10 swimmers in each, raising funds for their chosen charity or good cause.
With all swimmers to sign in at 8:15am at Monks Ferry slipway, members of each POD will then make their way to Canning Dock and congregate at the Cockle Inlet slipway, ready to start the swim at 10:45am. Safety boats will be on hand to observe all swimmers and provide assistance if necessary.
Once completed, there will then be a medal presentation at Monks Ferry slipway for all the swimmers and crew.
Due to safety against Covid-19, all swimmers wishing to participate must complete an entry form and pay the entry fee of £45 in advance. There will be no new swimmer sign-ups on the day.
To register please email Liam Hanlon: firstname.lastname@example.org
All swimmers must also have completed a prerequisite event, signed off by a Mersey swim coach, before attempting to take on the Across Mersey Swim. This can be completed at the swim test on the 11 September at New Brighton Lake at 7am.
Liam Hanlon, managing director of The Forshaw Group and organiser of this Across Mersey Swim, said: “Good Luck as we prepare for another epic swim across the mighty River Mersey.”
