We like to reward our new social media followers by hosting prize giveaways. All of our new Twitter and LinkedIn followers who joined us between 16 June to 14 July this year, were entered into a random prize draw to win a £25 Amazon voucher. We were delighted to award The Owen McVeigh Foundation charity with the prize for following us on Twitter.
As the charity helps make amazing memories for terminally ill children, the charity kindly donated this prize to one of the children it supports.
Zack, aged 4 from Wirral, was the lucky recipient of this £25 Amazon prize. His parents, Adam and Sophie, were extremely grateful, and will be buying something for Zack which he really likes. This is likely to be a Buzz Lightyear related gift, from the Toy Story franchise, as its one of Zack’s favourite characters.
Zack is terminally ill from cancer, and his parents are dedicated to providing him with as many fun days out and presents as possible, to create happy memories for the family. If you also wish to support Zack, please donate via his JustGiving page, or please provide gifts through The Owen McVeigh Foundation website.
Our managing director, Liam Hanlon, said: “We are thrilled that the £25 Amazon voucher went to such a deserving charity, and that it will go towards creating special moments for Zack. We hope this will buy something really wonderful for him.”
This is not the first time The Forshaw Group has been involved with The Owen McVeigh Foundation, as one of our employees, Joe Chellow, climbed Ben Nevis in Scotland in May to raise funds for this incredible charity. He raised over £3,000, which was a fantastic achievement.
