Forshaw Steals an Edge with ISO 9001-2008

The Forshaw Group, leading providers of claim management services to the construction industry in the UK/North West/Liverpool*, has been awarded ISO 9001-2008 accreditation by Lloyds Register Quality Assurance (LRQA), the global certification body for quality, health and safety, and environment services.

Believed to be one of the first in Forshaw’s business sector, this coveted accreditation signals the next stage in the growth of a company that currently has five regional offices in the North West, a turnover of £8.7m, and a track record that includes extensive reparation following the Cumbrian floods. The company is now in the process of rolling out their Broker Alliance initiative which has launched in Liverpool and will expand into Manchester and Birmingham next year.

“Many of our clients prefer to have the assurance of dealing with ISO 9001-2008 accredited companies as do many of the construction industry accreditation bodies such as CHAS,” says Malcolm Studholme, Health and Safety Advisor for the Forshaw Group. “It proves ongoing conformance to standards and streamlines the approval process. With future clients we are now able to demonstrate that our systems will meet their needs consistently and are regularly audited to show performance against service level”.

Prior to accreditation the Forshaw Group had already been pioneering an online ‘Client Information Management System’ which logged the stages and progress of each contract to provide transparency for clients and policy holders. This now serves to confirm the processes operating under the company’s accredited business management system, including conformity to service level agreements.

Says Forshaw Director, Liam Hanlon: “Taking our business to the next level depends on the credibility and reassurance we can demonstrate to current and prospective clients.  We now have that edge in this highly competitive insurance sector”.
