Expanding Business in Speke

A recently opened restoration business in Speke, part of Liverpool-based disaster management  specialists The Forshaw Group, has appointed a new head of operations to expand the business regionally and nationally.

Dave Brooks, 37, leads a team of 18, working out of the new facility in Speke where household and business items damaged by floods and fire are retained and restored as part of the disaster management reconstruction and repair process.

The growing team at Speke has already dealt with projects large and small, including the restoration work required following the Huyton floods, a vast roof clean-up after a fire at Toxteth’s main Bingo Hall, and major flooding at the Direct Coatings’ factory in Bolton.

“Thanks to the new facilities we have in Speke, we can provide the comprehensive services of a large company to those who need it at local level. This is unusual in our industry and it is the foundation of our future business”, says Dave who joins from BELFOR, worldwide leaders in disaster recovery.

For insurance companies and loss adjusters, the Forshaw service delivers a seamless, less costly process that reduces timescales for those businesses and householders needing to get back to normal as quickly as possible following a disaster.

“We are called in for the process of determining which contents can and cannot be saved. Those items that can be reclaimed are taken to our restoration facility in Speke where they are restored on-site or sent to specialist contractors. We then strip out the damaged areas and co-ordinate the building and refurbishment work.   It is this continuity which speeds up the restoration process and brings with it all the advantages of reduced relocation time for insurers, businesses and home-owners”,  adds Dave.
