International Women’s Day is celebrated annually on 8 March, and this year The Forshaw Group was thrilled to recognise our fantastic and talented team of women, as we do every day of the year.

Nicola Gale, our Sales Ledger Accounts Assistant and ESG Champion for the Armed Forces Covenant, was delighted to attend Knowsley Chamber of Commerce’s International Women’s Day Lunch, held at Allerton Mannor.
Nicola describes, “I was so inspired by the large number of women present, with some fantastic guest speakers. Jessica Murphy, Working Well Business Engagement Manager at Knowsley Chamber, began making her mark at a young age. She set her own path and did not conform to the norm of what was expected but instead excelled in the path she forged for herself.
“Alison Lobb, Managing Partner at Morecrofts, shared her journey in the legal profession. Her hands-on leadership style and commitment to introducing new talent and giving her time and expertise to the development of the next generation, increasing organizational longevity.
“All the ladies that I had the pleasure of speaking to throughout the afternoon had their own successes, and it was a privilege to join them to celebrate an important day. Thank you to Knowsley Chamber for organising the event and Allerton Mannor for being such great hosts.”
What a team!
Given the traditionally male-dominated focus of the construction industry, we are very proud that women comprise 20% of our workforce, in roles ranging from accounts to BDMA Claim Technicians.
Within our team of ESG Champions – which embodies all aspects of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) – over half are women, with roles dedicated to making positive changes to better people, the community and the planet.
