Christmas is a time of giving, and our team were busy giving their time and support to worthy causes and events over the festive period.
Christmas Half Marathon
T’was the day before Christmas, and the Tri-4-Life team were traversing the Wirral Way Trail in the Christmas Eve Half Marathon. The team all donated their entries to cerebral palsy charity, Stick ‘n’ Step, a charity which we have supported for many years.
Veteran’s Christmas Dinner
Over 250 veterans and their family members and friends celebrate Christmas Day together at the Vauxhall Community Centre in Liverpool.
The event brought the magic of Christmas, with a festive feast by Bay Tree Cookery Academy CIC, complete with crackers, as well as a disco, karaoke and ‘snow’ foam. There was even the chance for the young and young at heart to meet the big man himself, with Father Christmas making a special appearance before his trip back to the North Pole.
Tranmere Rovers community dinner
While most of us were feasting on leftovers on Boxing Day, our managing director Liam Hanlon was enjoying a community dinner at Tranmere Rovers FC. The event also included a Christmas singalong of all our festive favourites.
Boxing Day Dip
Liam’s festive feast followed a busy morning overseeing the annual Boxing Day Dip.
150 dippers from all over the region turned up to take part, braving the chilly waters, before warming up over breakfast at Wetherspoons West Kirby.
The dip was a festive success and raised £650 in funds for the Wallasey and Runcorn-based cerebral palsy charity, Stick ‘n’ Step, a charity close to our hearts.
New Year’s Dip
Alongside Wallasey Beach Club CIC and Friends of New Brighton Marine Lake (FONBML), The Forshaw Group took part in organising a special New Year’s Day Dip 2025.
Held in the morning of New Year’s Day at Wallasey Beach, despite the cold conditions, plenty of hardy swimmers took to the waters, and raised £450 for charity.
Wallasey Beach Club CIC then hosted the after celebration, with hot drinks and warm soup a welcome meal for the swimmers at the club house.
