The Forshaw Group is delighted to announce that its team has been awarded the Silver award for Fraud Awareness from LV= General Insurance.
LV is a large, multi-award-winning general insurance company, with nearly 7 million customers, making it one of the largest personal insurers in the UK.
Fraud affects all customers, often by increasing premiums, so the company will do whatever it can to stop it, enlisting the help of external businesses, law enforcement agencies and regulatory bodies to support wider industry action to combat fraud.
Our surveyors review each claim diligently for potential fraud, such as incorrect or incomplete details being given, or false claims being submitted. Our team was awarded this accolade by referring suspect claims when suspicions were raised to LV’s Claims Crime Prevention Team (CCPT). This provided LV the opportunity to investigate our concerns, and seek out any fraudulent claims, saving them thousands of pounds.
In August, our referrals saved LV £9,536, a fantastic achievement in preventing fraud.
Commented Liam Hanlon, managing director at The Forshaw Group: “We are extremely proud of our team for supporting LV in its bid to minimise fraud for its customers. Insurance fraud can have serious consequences and has a great impact on honest people’s premiums. We will continue to be diligent against potential fraudulent claims.”
