Our managing director Liam Hanlon and the Tri-4-Life team addressed an audience at a ‘Ways to Wow Leadership Live’ event last week, held at The Everyman Cinema in Liverpool.
The evening was a networking event with a difference, with a leadership event theme of how to ‘learn how to reach your own summit of success’, it offered ‘The mind over mountain experience, through stories of a remarkable journey to conquer Everest’.
In March 2022, Liam Hanlon, and the Tri-4-Life team, embarked on an extraordinarily challenging adventure, Mount Everest. The climb took eight weeks to complete, and the team finally reached the summit on 21 May 2022.
Liam Hanlon said after he returned from Everest: “Despite all the training and preparation, I’m not sure anything or anyone can prepare you for what comes next. It pushes you to your limits physically, mentally, and emotionally. You are climbing Everest itself and you must climb a mountain with your own head. It is an incredible and unique experience.”
Liam’s journey was told and shown at the event to teach inspiring tools and techniques to others. The cinematic music featured was from String Infusion, an all-electric female acoustic string group. Liam and the Tri-4-Life team discussed what it took to conquer Everest and how this is comparable to everyday life as a leader. The night explored how cultivating the right mindset can elevate your leadership capabilities, and how in turn this can help you to overcome obstacles in business and your personal life.
Jamie Wray is a Liverpool-based leadership and business coach, and the founder and CEO of ‘Ways to Wow’. The company holds coaching programmes, events and motivating workshops. Jamie Wray’s quote – “If you’re not WOWing, you’re not winning” – has now become a saying used by many businesses across Liverpool.
The event began at 4:30 pm, with networking time. The footage from Liam’s Everest climb was shown at 5:30 pm. Canapes were served during the second networking section of the evening, before the leadership panel, which consisted of Liam Hanlon, the Tri-4-Life team and Jamie Wray, opened the floor for a questions and answer session. Liam Hanlon then addressed audience and the evening finished with high performing leadership habits with Jamie Wray.
Liam Hanlon said about the event, “Our experience climbing Everest was a life changing experience and being able to share that experience to elevate leadership is inspiring. It was a fantastic event and all the feedback received was positive. I am looking forward to seeing what future events Jamie does.”
