Here at The Forshaw Group, we are keen to continually offer training opportunities to our team. Our company motto is to ‘attract, train and retain’ the industry talent for the future.
This month, two of our surveyors, Graeme English and Nathan Heaton, attended the Admiral Disaster and Restoration (D&R) workshop in Cardiff. The day was an opportunity for Admiral to invite suppliers, building contractors and Admiral staff for a ‘meet and greet’ and to understand Admirals principles and claim processes.
Back in 2023, we successfully completed the procurement process and Admiral came on board as a client. Admiral is a UK-based insurance company that was set up in 1993 to specialise in car insurance. It has grown enormously and now offers multiple coverage in all aspects of insurance.
The workshop covered Admirals approach to how claims are run. Nathan and Graeme were invited to join breakout sessions with suppliers to discuss how we work differently, what works well, and the areas Admiral can improve on. Admiral is open to new ideas and willing to listen to advice from numerous drying and restoration companies.
Our surveyor Nathan said about the Admiral workshop, “The workshop really helped with our understanding how Admiral operates. Many thanks to all the suppliers and to Admiral for hosting the experience.”
What The Forshaw Group offers
We work closely with insurance companies and loss adjusters to renovate commercial and residential property damaged by fire or flood. With our roots in building and construction, and our knowledge of building surveying, we understand what can increase costs and reduce margins. We also have first-hand knowledge of the complex issues which frequently need to be resolved when dealing with both business and domestic policyholders.
Here at The Forshaw Group, we offer a 24-hour emergency service. When a disaster strikes, it doesn’t know what time it is. At The Forshaw Group, we must be ready to attend emergencies at all times of the day or night, be they the aftermath of fires, or properties in the throes of rising floodwater. Working at different times of day, in very different working conditions, can cause problems in itself. Our specialist recovery teams have to be prepared for every eventuality from the moment they arrive at the scene.
