Here at The Forshaw Group, we are keen to continually offer training opportunities to our team. Our company motto is to ‘attract, train and retain’ the industry talent for the future.
Last week (March 21), we are delighted that 12 members of The Forshaw Group team graduated the Project 24 Leadership Programme.
Lead by the course tutor Paul Reynolds from Mentor Corporate Coaching, the course consisted of four groups sessions (these were approximately three-hours in length and took place in The Forshaw Group’s training room), as well as several online Zoom sessions.
Alongside Paul as the External Coach, each team member had an Internal Coach to act as a sounding board for the participant. This role was shared between managing director Liam Hanlon, finance director Richard Caffrey and senior surveyor JJ Calvert.
Well done to our young team of business leaders, who will now progress into new leadership roles within the business across our offices in Knowsley:
- Joe Chellew
- Nathan Heaton
- Luke Allen
- Rhys Finlay
- Amy Meath
- Ross Elder
- Danielle Seddon
- David Langford
- Ryan Green
- Ben Scott
- Dave Chiocchi
- Sian Meath
Held along the same lines as the Re-Imagine programme of 2021, the team completed the following schedule of sessions and work:
Individual pre-course diagnostic interviews were held on Tuesday 30 January 2024 and Wednesday 31 January 2024 on Zoom for all participants (45 minutes each).
The first group session was then held on Thursday 8 February 2024. This involved considering how to tap into the creative potential of the team, with individual creative thinking meetings to be held at work and reported back at the next session.
The second group session was held on Thursday 22 February 2024, focussing on how the business could become more results-orientated, using SMART measures, as well as the participants undergoing Time Management exercises for establishing priorities.
The third group session was held on Thursday 7 March 2024, considering effective communication to empower and coach teams to success.
Two days of individual coaching sessions were then held on Wednesday 13 March 2024 and Thursday 14 March 2024 on Zoom (45 minutes each), covering a review of the progress the team had made so far.
On Thursday 21 March 2024 the final group session was held, where participants handed in their three projects, as signed off by their Internal Coach. This included their 1-3 Year Plan, Self-organization Plan, and Money Saving Plan. A review was then held, with each participant’s plans for the immediate future and commitment to first steps.
We would like to thank Paul Reynolds for delivering another successful programme.
There will soon be a review meeting involving the directors, to discuss how best to continue to attract and retain Industry talent for the future of the company.
