It’s always great to win awards but especially great when The Forshaw Group wins awards, and it’s not just for one member but four! Laura Williams, Kimberley Meadows, Ashleigh O’Callaghan and Becci Palin have all been awarded the Gold Standard Working Well award, by Knowsley Chamber of Commerce.
Working Well has been delivered in Knowsley since 2011, through a partnership between Knowsley Public Health and Knowsley Chamber of Commerce. The aim of Working Well is to support businesses so that they can be equipped to provide health and wellbeing support, activities and programmes around physical health, mental health support, and also looking at the working environment and culture in place. It is funded by Knowsley Public Health and delivered by Knowsley Chamber of Commerce. The scheme is dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of the borough’s workforce.
Working Well can support employers with practical advice. It can also help companies that plan to introduce new measures, such as resilience workshops, mental health awareness sessions, mindfulness and coping with change or stress. To ensure that companies are following good practice, companies applying for a Working Well grant must demonstrate that they have consulted with their workforce to show evidence of staff consultation and feedback.
The Gold Standard award is given to members of the team who are making a difference at work, and it’s a real honour to receive four of these . The team members who have won it have organised a number of charitable events, including raising much needed donations for Knowsley food bank and other charities, as well as attending events to improve the health and wellbeing of the team.
Our senior surveyor Kimberley Meadows and HR manager Ashleigh O’Callaghan recently attended Menopause Awareness training for the workplace. This training was designed to raise awareness of a natural stage of life. Increasing awareness of what the menopause is, and the impact it can have on work-life, is key to educating the whole organisation, in order to best support colleagues.
Our managing director, Liam Hanlon said about the award, “I am so proud of Laura, Kimberley, Ashleigh and Becci. It’s a real honour to achiever a Gold Standard. It’s important to us here at The Forshaw Group to give back to the community, and ensuring the health and wellbeing of our team is key to this. A massive well done.”
