The Forshaw Group’s managing director, Liam Hanlon, recently attended the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) Business Leaders’ Reception in Liverpool. Held in the Small Ballroom at the Liverpool Town Hall on Tuesday 27 June 2023, the event included drinks and networking, along with a speech from Sandi Rhys Jones OBE, CIOB President 2023/24.
Liam joined other members of the CIOB, senior level industry professionals from across the globe, including the CIOB Trustees and Officers, and other senior business leaders and policy makers from in and around Liverpool. The focus of the evening was to highlight and celebrate the achievements of the CIOB within the city regions and look ahead at the agenda being set out in the key focus areas of the industry: technology, diversity and inclusion, environment and sustainability, training and development. Commented Liam Hanlon, managing director at The Forshaw Group: “It was great to be invited as a business leader to such a prestigious event to add the SME voice to the discussions of much larger plans and ambitions.”
The CIOB is the world’s largest and most influential professional body for construction management and leadership. Its aim is to lead the cultural shift through setting standards, sharing knowledge, changing attitudes and championing people.
