The Forshaw Group is excited to announce the INS-Pire team has managed to secure sponsored places at four training days within its academy for our apprentices, trainees and new members of the team. The events will provide a chance for them all to catch up with each other and their mentors.
The INS-Pire Academy is designed to help train young people into skilled trades, including building, restoration and renovation, engineering, decorating and loss adjusting. It is hoped it will also help address the looming skill shortage in the industry.
The last get together took place in October, when several INS-Pire companies enjoyed an inspirational day with Caroline Gumble, the chair of the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB). That event included presentations, activities and a tour of the newly opened Shakespeare North Playhouse in Prescot.
In collaboration with over five local businesses and 50 nationally, The Knowsley Apprenticeship Partnership and our INS-Pire Academy have been instrumental in providing over 100 apprenticeship roles across Knowsley, including opportunities within plumbing, plastering, painting, joinery, electrician work and administration.
The four planned training events begin with the Subsidence training day with Tree Law on Tuesday 4 July in Birmingham. This will be a seminar on topical issues areas of the law around trees, with special guest speakers including Sarah Dodd, founder of Tree Law, Elizabeth Nicholls, a renowned Barrister, Martin Dobson, an esteemed arboriculturist, and Dr Tim Farewell, a climate data scientist. This event will be followed by Anglesey North Wales coasteering on Friday 18 August, a walking adventure in the Peak District on Sunday 10 September and the Subsidence Forum training day on Thursday 12 October.
