The Forshaw Group was delighted to support and sponsor Shelter Merseyside’s ‘Strictly Goes to Hollywood’ event, with the first of this year’s charity dancing events held on 19 March.
The March 2022 dancing event also supported the charity Wirral Mind, which is a local independence mental health charity, offering a vast range of services including a mental health resource centre, counselling, debriefing, and check-ins.
12 contestants all raised funds for these two charities, after attending professional dance lessons for several weeks, ready to perform their dances to music from popular Hollywood films on the night.
The event was held at the Rum Warehouse at the Titanic Hotel in Liverpool, and guests were treated to a VIP drinks reception from Liverpool Gin Distillery, and a delicious three-course meal, followed with coffee and rum fudge.
Guests then enjoyed a showcase from the professional dancers, followed by the main dance competition and a group dance. The evening ended with the chance for guests to take to the floor themselves after the winners’ announcement and presentation of the glitter ball trophies, awarded by our managing director Liam Hanlon.
The next Strictly themed event will be in November 2022, which will coincide with the new series of the BBC’s highly popular TV series ‘Strictly Come Dancing’. There are spaces available for anyone who would like to be a dancer for the night.
