The Forshaw Group was thrilled to recently support the Wallasey Amateur Boxing Club with its Maxi Roy memorial boxing tournaments.
Held at the Leasowe Castle Hotel, Wallasey on Saturday 13 of November, 11 contests were hosted to showcase the skills and sportsmanship of the young boxers. The contestants were across all ages; from schoolboy to senior level.
Our Managing Director Liam Hanlon is also the Wallasey ABC Chairman.
Speaking of the event, Liam Hanlon said: “It is always a pleasure to see the boxing club, the local community and businesses pulling together for such a great cause. The Club works hard to engage with young people from Wallasey and Leasowe to provide meaningful and life-enhancing skills through the sport of amateur boxing.
“The club would like to thank all those in attendance for supporting this local community club, and to all the sponsors for their support in providing the funds to host such a prestigious dinner at the Ringside event.”
The Forshaw Group has previously helped Wallasey Amateur Boxing Club to clean up the Leasowe community. Liam was part of a team of 12 who assisted with this worthwhile community initiative, which included clearing the car park, hardstanding, and green space around the boxing huts.
