The Forshaw Group has been celebrating fantastic recognition of its services and ambitions in business in several recent awards:
The National Apprenticeship Awards 2021
We were delighted to receive a special commendation in the National Apprenticeship Awards 2021. Held virtually on Tuesday 19 October, the regional awards ceremony celebrated apprenticeship champions across the North West.
The Forshaw Group is passionate about providing skills and opportunities for young people across the construction industry, and is committed to support apprenticeships to address the issue of the industry skills shortage.
This commendation is a testament to our passion for supporting and training apprentices, and we have featured on the Gov news page.
The North West LGBTQ+ Business Awards 2021
We were also thrilled to be awarded ‘Investment in People’ in the bonus category at The North West LGBTQ+ Business Awards. We are always looking for new ways in which we can be an inclusive and diverse employer, and this award recognises our pledge to do more to support the LGBTQ+ community across the region.
The Forshaw Group was represented at the awards by our Financial Controller, Richard Caffrey, as well as Julie Bird and our HR partner Peter Waller Flynn of Privilege HR. Hosted by the Thornton Hall Hotel on Friday 22 October, it was a superb event. We thoroughly enjoyed the evening, especially meeting Liverpool FC legend and football commentator Phil Thompson!
Our award now has pride of place at the top of our trophy cabinet in our reception. It is particularly timely to receive, as we move towards achieving the Investors In People Gold Standard award which the business has been working towards these past couple of years.
Upcoming awards
We are excited to be a finalist for ‘Partners in Corporate Social Responsibility’ in the PFM Awards 2021. This incorporates our partnership with The INS-Pire Academy, collaborating to provide apprenticeships and training. The awards ceremony will be on 3 November in London, and will be a wonderful celebration of the industry.
Also on 3 November is the Business Desk NW Business Masters Awards at the Midland Hotel in Manchester. We are delighted to be shortlisted for the ‘Community Impact’ award, for the support the company and its staff provide to regional and national charities across the UK.
Wish us luck in these upcoming award events!
