The glitz and glamour of awards nights is something all businesses look forward to, particularly when they are shortlisted for an industry accolade. We are particularly excited to be celebrating the achievements of our staff and company this year, with our shortlisting in three very different awards!
It is a real testament to – and recognition of – the amazing journey we have been on, and how our plans have been developed to align to benefit people, the community and planet.
From our earlier success this year of winning the ‘Business of the Year (over 50 employees)’ in the Liverpool Echo Regional Business Awards 2021 in June, here is a round-up of upcoming awards where The Forshaw Group is involved as a sponsor, or has been recognised for its excellence in business:
The Echo Awards 2021
We are thrilled to be an Associate Headline Sponsor for the Echo Awards 2021. The ceremony is this Friday (17 September), and we can’t wait to attend and celebrate with the fantastic community of Liverpool.
The North West LGBTQ+ Business Awards 2021
We are always looking for new ways in which we can be an inclusive and diverse employer, and we extend this support to the LGBTQ+ community. From showing our solidarity with Liverpool Pride by turning our logo into a rainbow, we are pledging to do more for this fantastic community across the region.
We are pleased to have therefore been shortlisted for the ‘Diversity & Inclusion Award’ in The North West LGBTQ+ Business Awards, to be hosted by the Thornton Hall Hotel on Friday 22 October. We can’t wait for, what promises to be, a spectacular evening.
The PFMAwards 2021
We are also finalist for ‘Partners in Corporate Social Responsibility’ in the PFM Awards 2021. This incorporates our partnership with The INS-Pire Academy, collaborating to provide apprenticeships and training. The awards ceremony will be on 3 November in London, and will be a wonderful celebration of the industry.
The Business Desk NW Business Masters Awards 2021
Also on 3 November is the Business Desk NW Business Masters Awards at the Midland in Manchester. We are delighted to be shortlisted for the ‘Community Impact’ award. The Forshaw Group prides itself on the support the company and its staff provide to regional and national charities across the UK. So far in 2021 alone, we have supported around 20 local, regional, national, and international charities, helping to raise over £50,000 for these good causes.
The National Apprenticeship Awards 2021
We are excitedly awaiting the National Apprenticeship Awards 2021 shortlist announcement soon. The Forshaw Group is passionate about providing skills and opportunities for young people across the construction industry, and is committed to support apprenticeships to address the issue of the industry skills shortage. We are keeping our fingers crossed to be named finalists for ‘Apprentice Employer of the Year (SME Employer of the Year: 1 – 249 employees)’.
We also nominated our Managing Director, Liam Hanlon, for ‘Apprenticeship Champion of the Year’. Liam Hanlon joined the construction industry in 1984 on a Youth Training Scheme Apprenticeship, and remains passionate about supporting and training apprentices.
